Complete your tutu, dress, skirt, or other costume with a custom bodice. In the Ballet Bodice One Class you will work with woven fabrics, and will learn about the importance of proper fit, while working with little ease and still making the bodice comfortable. Fabric choices include bengalines, and brocades.

In Bodice One, you will learn how to properly use the fabric grainline and seam allowances, flatlining techniques, how to add bone casings to linings, how to cut and tip steel spiral boning, finishing techniques with cotton cording and/or bias tape, and time-honored hand-sewing techniques.

Bodice Pattern Guide:

• Adult 6-piece European-style bodice, with a point at the center front waistline and a low, rounded back.
• Adult 8-piece European-style bodice, with a point at the center front waistline and a medium-low, rounded back.
• Adult 10-piece European-style bodice, with a point at the center front waistline and a medium, straight back (we use this bodice in class to teach how to make changes to the back of a pattern)
• Child’s 6-piece European-style bodice, with a point at the center front waistline, and a medium-low, back.
• Child’s 8-piece European-style bodice, with a point at the center front waistline, and a medium-low, back.

We offer two payment choices:  1. Online Payment Only: Pay in full when you register and receive a 10% discount on your classes, OR 2. Choose to pay a 50% course/kit deposit and our billing department will arrange auto-pay for the balance on 6/1 for NC-July. If you decide to pay your balance sooner, please call during office hours and we'd be happy to process final payment. Please note, if you add options with additional cost to the base kit price those fees will be added to your cart and paid with your first payment/deposit. Payments are non-refundable, however a TutuSchools credit, less 10%, will be granted for use within one year at any of our seminar locations when requested more than 30 days in advance of your seminar. If you must drop out within 30 days of the class date, no credit will be issued. Spread payments over 6 mos. interest-free with PayPal credit.
